Biography
| My real name, for anyone who's interested, is Kerry. I'm a 21 year old art student from Scotland. Studying at Dundee's Dunacn of Jordanstone. I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil, and funnily enough it has always been animals. Whenever drawing pictures at school, where they had to involve people, I always managed to incorporate either a mouse, bird, dog or cat into the picture just to make it 'mine'. To be able to make money from my picture has always been a dream, and I thoroughly enjoy doing the commissions for Pet Portraits. Each animal has it's own personality, and I love to see each picture and hear about them, makes drawing them a lot more fun! As for illustrations; having a story, lyrics or piece of music to work from really helps create a picture in my head. Producing the characters and laying them down on paper is always tough and a great challange, but that's half the enjoyment. I feel that the course I have taken this year has helped my mind open up and my knowledge of art broaden. I know far more techniques than I did before, and I have learnt how to be both loose and tight at the same time with my pieces. It also has allowed me to appreciate and look more closely at other artist's work, using them as great inspiration for my own. |
